GLISA Events

GLISA sponsors a number of events throughout the academic year.  Please check back often for the latest event and contest information.

2010 TLA Conference Stipend:  GLISA sponsors 1-2 SLIS students to the annual Texas Library Association conference.  More details will be forthcoming.

2010 ALA Conference Stipend:  GLISA sponsors 1-2 SLIS students to the annual American Library Association conference.  More details will be forthcoming.

2010 Fall Forum:  GLISA will sponsor a get-together for all GLISA members during the annual SLIS Fall Forum activity, held each October at the Denton TWU campus.  More information will be forthcoming on this year's get-together event.  Hope to see you then!

Election of Officers:  The annual election of GLISA officers takes place at the beginning of the academic year (Fall semester).  Students are able to self-nominate, or nominate others for election.  The GLISA membership votes whenever two or more candidates are nominated for a single office.  We encourage you to participate in the GLISA officers program!

ALA Student to Staff applications:  GLISA solicits applications for the annual American Library Association Student to Staff program, held each year during the annual ALA conference.  Applications will be solicited in the November/December timeframe.  More information will be forthcoming.
